This grant aims to enhance the research component of conferences by supporting everything from scientific presentations to in-person research opportunities for families.<\/h4>\n<p>Whether your group is new to organizing conferences or has years of experience, this funding can help bring valuable scientific discussions to your community.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Funding Details:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Name of RFA: <\/strong>&#8220;Conference Support for Rare Neurodevelopmental Disorder Communities Participating In <span class=\"notranslate\">Simons Searchlight<\/span>&#8221;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Three funding tiers available<\/strong>: $2,500, $7,500, and $15,000, based on the level of scientific involvement planned.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Eligibility<\/strong>:\u00a0<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Open to both established and emerging PAGs.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Conferences must be scheduled between January 2025 and February 2026.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Applicants should be patient advocacy groups (PAGs) for <span class=\"notranslate\">Simons Searchlight<\/span> Gene\/CNV groups who use <span class=\"notranslate\">Simons Searchlight<\/span> as their major registry.\u00a0<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"3\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Preference is given to those communities actively supporting <span class=\"notranslate\">Simons Searchlight<\/span> recruitment and ongoing engagement within their communities.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Application Timeline<\/strong>: Applications open on November 7, 2024, and close on March 4, 2025.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Informational Webinar<\/strong>: <\/span><\/span>The SFARI science team held an informational Zoom meeting on\u00a0December 11, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
